Privacy Policy for Quitt

Quitt (“the app”, “we”, “us”) helps you track and reduce your nicotine use. We care about your privacy and have built the app to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what data is involved and how it is handled.

The short version

• Your quit-progress data stays on your device. We do not have a server and we never receive or store your personal usage data.
• We show ads through Google AdMob, which collects limited technical data to deliver them. We use non-personalized ads, so this does not involve advertising-based tracking of you.
• Purchases (removing ads) are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Data stored on your device only

The following is saved locally on your phone and is not transmitted to us or anyone else:

• Your settings (substance, language, currency, daily intake, costs, notification preferences)
• Your quit date / plan and your daily logs and slips
• Whether you have purchased “Remove ads”

This data remains until you delete it in the app (“Reset all data”) or uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app permanently removes it.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display ads. To serve ads and prevent fraud, AdMob may process limited technical information such as your device type, operating system, general (coarse) location derived from IP address, and ad-interaction data.

We request non-personalized ads only. This means ads are not based on a profile of your interests, and we do not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency tracking. AdMob’s handling of data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Purchases

“Remove ads” is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple’s App Store. We do not receive or store your name, card, or payment information. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your devices via “Restore purchases”.

Children

Quitt is intended for adults trying to quit nicotine and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or hold your personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf — you control all in-app data directly on your device, and can erase it at any time via “Reset all data” or by uninstalling the app. For questions about data processed by Google AdMob, see Google’s Privacy Policy linked above.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
